Understanding the key role that trust plays between lawyers and their clients, David makes it his mission to build and foster personalized relationships with each and every client, colleague, and stakeholder. He’s built his practice with a focus on matters of business succession, estate planning, and business law, providing his clients with the professional legal advice needed to achieve their goals.
David works with clients to build sophisticated estate plans, including the preparation of wills, powers of attorney, and trusts, as well as conducting estate administration. On the business side of his practice he works on incorporations, shareholder agreements, debt and equity financings, asset and share transactions, corporate reorganizations, family trusts, and other commercial agreements.
Every client is different and requires a different approach; David understands this and leads his practice with empathy and diligence. He seeks to understand his clients on both a personal and business level, and reviews all materials in depth to have a full understanding of his clients’ matters. He has a keen awareness that his job is to advise his clients and empower them to make strategic decisions, a feat only accomplished from a place of understanding.
David provides simple, practical solutions in complicated legal matters, tailoring his approach based on the needs of each client. In complex estate matters, he is quick to leverage his extensive network of professionals to find the best solutions for his clients. Although he works predominantly with owner-operated businesses and business owners, David also enjoys working for individuals with sensitive matters where his services can make a difference in their lives.
Since joining the firm in 2010, David has embraced mentorship opportunities from the McCarter Grespan team and continues to develop his expertise, all while making a positive impact on the community in which he and the firm have established life-long roots.
