AODA: Notice of Accessibility of Documents
McCarter Grespan is committed to ensuring that persons with disabilities have equal access to our legal services and receive the same quality of services, in a manner that respects their dignity and independence.
The firm has adopted the policies required under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA 2005) and the Customer Service Standard (CSS, Ontario Regulation 429/07), which reflect the long-standing practice and commitment of our firm to accommodate the needs of persons with disabilities and to eliminate barriers that may impede access to our services.
These documents, which are available to any individual upon request, include the following policies and procedures:
- Providing services to persons with disabilities
- The use of assistive devices, service animals and support persons by persons with disabilities
- Information and communications supports
- Temporary disruption of our facilities and services
- Accessible emergency information
- Staff training
- Employment
- Our Feedback Process
Furthermore, the firm has developed a multi-year accessibility plan that conforms to the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR, Ontario Regulation 191/11). As required by the IASR, all current websites and web content controlled by McCarter Grespan conform with WCAG 2.0, Level A, and will conform with WCAG 2.0, Level AA protocols by January 2021, except where meeting the requirement is not practicable.
